The Service-Learning Center Alumni Network is alive and growing. Sixteen alumni are on the Advisory Board that meets bi-monthly either in person or via conference call. The Board is co-chaired by Will Quinn (’09) and Steve Kennedy (’07). As the Network continues to grow, it has reached nearly 1300 former service-learning students in 13 countries around the world. Working as a liaison between the Service-Learning Center and the Alumni Network, current student leader Katie Horowitz reports that the Network circulates a monthly newsletter including a campus update and notification of upcoming events. Also, the Board has set up a mentoring pilot program with 12 alumni each paired with a current BSLC student and is planning a service project on Reunion Weekend (June 4, 2011) at the Dana Court housing Development in Waltham.
