Service-Learning Fall 2011

Welcome back to Bentley! Registration and volunteer opportunities for Spring 2011 service-learning are now available. Please review the descriptions of available programs. If you wish to volunteer, visit the Service-Learning Center in Morison Hall, room 101.

4th Credit Option: Earn additional credit with a service-learning project.

The 4th-credit option offers students the opportunity to earn an additional academic credit in conjunction with a 3-credit course. Students perform a minimum of 20 hours of service at a site in the local nonprofit community.

The 4th-credit option enhances learning by helping students apply course concepts in the real world outside of the classroom, using knowledge gained in class to help others. Students may take one 4th-credit option per semester for a total of three semesters.

How to Apply for 4th Credit: You will find the 4th-credit application form on MyBentley. Go to MyBentley > Student Self-Service (on the left side of the page) > Main Menu > Undergraduate (Day and Evening) Student Main Menu > Student Services > Service-Learning 4th-Credit Student Application Process
